Amazing progress for Mum
I have been extremely impressed with the progress Mum has made since starting her weekly speech therapy sessions. These have run alongside the NHS speech therapy sessions, making it more impactful, and have really helped Mum’s speech, relearning and consolidating basic vocabulary that wasn’t good following her stroke.
Mum has found the sessions stimulating and looks forward to them. She has formed a good relationship with Lisa, who encourages her and gets the best from her. Lisa has also been very generous with her advice, happy to answer queries on what to practice and suggest ways to address specific difficulties. Many thanks.
Nailed their rehabilitation
Here is the face of someone who has nailed their rehabilitation! I had the privilege of working with Kevin and his wife alongside the great team from Sphere Rehabilitation, after he experienced a brain injury in 2021. We worked on a whole range of communication and cognitive skills, to improve Kevin’s ability to communicate in different situations. This is what he had to say:

Helping him with his speech & confidence
My 85 year old father in law had a stroke in August 2021. He is frail and very frustrated by his disabilities. Jennifer is helping him with his speech and is working hard to build up his confidence again.
He really looks forward to her visits and his speech has notably improved during the short time Jennifer has been working with him.
Jennifer is not only extremely proficient at the technical aspects of her job but she also has a huge amount of empathy and compassion which extends to those trying to support my father in law at this difficult time. Her care for my father in law is exceptional and we are so pleased that she is helping him and us.
